Dr. Janmohamed was born and raised in Edmonton. He completed his medical school at the University of Toronto in 2009, and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alberta in 2014. During his residency training, he won the James Crookes Surgical Award and the Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures Award. He has also won several teaching awards during his residency and since. 

Dr. Janmohamed’s special interests include medical education and Quality Improvement. The part of his job he enjoys the most is spending time with patients, listening to their fears and concerns, explaining their options to them, and giving them the information they need to make the best decision for themselves and their families. 

When not working, Rahim enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter. He has put much time and effort into sharing his love of the Edmonton Oilers with his daughter, with mixed results.
